1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Maeve Essentials ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Kenya to create an account. By registering you confirm you meet these requirements.
3. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Maeve Essentials is not liable for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to secure your account.
4. Marketplace Rules
Maeve Essentials is a multi-vendor marketplace connecting buyers and independent sellers. We do not manufacture, warehouse, or directly sell products listed on the Platform. Each seller is responsible for the accuracy of their listings and fulfilment of orders.
5. Payments & Pricing
All prices are displayed in Kenyan Shillings (KES). Payments are processed through Paystack (card and bank transfer). By completing a purchase, you authorize the stated charge. Prices are set by individual sellers and may change without notice.
6. Seller Obligations
Sellers agree to provide accurate product information, fulfil orders within stated timelines, and comply with all applicable Kenyan consumer protection laws. Maeve Essentials may suspend or terminate seller accounts that violate these obligations.
7. Intellectual Property
Content, logos, and design elements of the Platform are owned by Maeve Essentials. Sellers retain rights to their product images and descriptions but grant Maeve Essentials a licence to display them on the Platform.
8. Limitation of Liability
Maeve Essentials acts solely as an intermediary between buyers and sellers. To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, we are not liable for product quality, delivery delays, or disputes between buyers and sellers.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nairobi.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or Platform notification.
